National Conference 2010 details

The ECB Coaches Association has announced details of the ECB CA National Conference 2010, entitled ‘Character, Captaincy & Leadership’.

Winners of photo competition revealed

After hundreds of entries the ECB have announced the winners of The Great Exhibition Photo Competition.

Clubmark survey

ECB is conducting a review of the Clubmark scheme in an effort to update and improve it, making it as effective as possible, so that many more clubs will take the opportunity to achieve Clubmark accreditation.

2009 Constitution result

ECB ACO members have voted overwhelmingly in favour of the Constitution which was proposed at the end of September.

ECB fast bowling directives change

The ECB fast bowling directives have changed following a two-year consultation process. The outcome is that bowlers up to under-15 level are able to bowl longer spells and more overs in a day.

Entries invited for 2010

Entries are now being invited for the ECB National Club Championship 2010, which will run with one less round than in the past.

Disability Awareness Pack added

The ECB’s Disability Awareness Pack, designed for use by coaches working with cricketers with a disability, but just as relevant for all coaches, is now available to download.

ECB 40 League draw made

The draw for the new domestic 40-over competition, the ECB 40 League, has taken place. The 18 first-class counties, Scotland, Netherlands and an ECB Recreational XI are divided into three groups, with four teams progressing to the semi-finals.

Coles replaces Hibberd for Wiltshire

Wiltshire have appointed Michael Coles captain for next season, replacing James Hibberd, who stood down at the end of the 2009 campaign.

OSCA winners lauded at Lord's

Seven volunteers were singled out for their unstinting work in cricket at the NatWest OSCAs which were held at Lord's on Monday.
